Chirk Chinese - The Steak Bar

The best Chinese takeaway around. This is no longer the closet takeaway to me...not even almost infact but I still go here! The food is amazing value for money as well as tasty! Mrs Lee and all the staff are lovely.

Would give zero stars if I could. Fish is very small and tastes more like prawn toast/prawn crackers (guess they use the same oil fryer).
Chip portion was also disappointingly small and what!!! £1 for a tub of gravy!!!
Much nicer food and better portions down the road at The Star chippy.

Mrs Lee is always very welcoming and the salt & pepper chips are amazing

Not bad food prices OK

Is obviously very popular as it was very busy when I visited. Seems okay but my big complaint is that the sweet and sour chicken was just dry pieces of deep fried chicken with a tub of plain sweet and sour sauce. Not a proper sweet and sour dish.
Portion sizes are smaller than most other take aways too.
Also, they said it would be about 20-30 mins but took about 45 mins.

Great Chinese takeaway away restaurant the food is fresh and very tasty.

All is ok other than NEED a protein based option for vegetarians other than just Foo Yung, such as beancurd / tofu dishes. Been waiting over 20 years for this to be added to the menu so thought it’s about time to suggest it!

Excellent food and good prices. We stayed in Chirk for a few days and gave this place a go and was very impressed
