Maxim's Fish and Chips / Chinese and Cantonese Take Away

I buy from there primarily for their excellent chips. I have had other food from there and have never had any complaints at all. I have never understood how this huge place makes a profit when it's always empty. I see people choosing to go into the other takeout Chinese a couple of doors along. I really cannot fathom why: I tried it and their food is slop.

I am disabled and now the walk through their large restaurant is too much for me. Last time I was there, I rang them from outside and they brought a bag of their excellent chips out to me in the rain. You can't ask for better than that?

Tried house curry and rice.was filling and not too bad for the cost.

After our fave Chinese takeaway changed owners we tried every one in the area and hands down Maxims beats each of them. Food is delicious every time, prices are great and you couldn't meet nicer people. We must have been getting our takeaway treat from here for at least 15 years and I can't see that changing. They don't deliver but it is well worth sending the other half out to fetch it while you warm the plates! Highly recommended.

Good food and overall customer service. It takes a while for food to arrive after ordering but it is to be expected and I can get around it for a good meal. It's very inexpensive and an affordable alternative for a place to get food. Plus you can eat in which is very nice as I live quite a bit up the road from the store and I often get tired walking there and back. Good food at a good price. What more could I ask for?

They are both racist and offensive, not only to mention that their food will turn your stomach and sour your tongue!!!

Great food, far superior to any other Cantonese takeaways in the area. Would highly recommend the house special fried rice and special chow mein, and the chips are excellent :).

I would 100% percent recommend Maxims Fish and Chip Shop Because over the years they offer amazing Fish and Chips and also other Chinese food they have and serve they are also very cheap!
