You're probably looking for something tasty to eat in Hay. It's getting late, all the other takeaways are shut, you're getting peckish.

I was like you once. In the same boat.
Champions League final 2019. Liverpool had just sunk their second goal, it was all over. I looked on Google Maps to see what was open... nothing apart from Chop Suey House.
I ignored the 3 stars as hunger took control of my decision making process.
I got in, just before they shut, ordered a couple of choices and admired the double sofa combo, 'interesting' art on the wall and homebrew certificates.
The food was boxed, bagged and delivered.
Off I skipped into the night with high hopes.

I could go on for ages about the food but I won't. Suffice to say, it was bad, don't make the same mistake as me, wait until morning.

I phone up, place an order for 3 dishes, I ask how long it will take, the response it "about an hour". I turn up an hour later. It isn't ready. I then wait 20 minutes, which I'm guessing is how long it would take to cook it from scratch. There was absolutley no point in me phoning up to place an order. When I'm given the order there is one dish missing , she intimates she can cook it for me, but I can't be bothered to wait any longer. The Singapore fried rice bore no resemblance to what it should. It was OK, not particulalry good, and not what I ordered.

Waited 50 minutes for 4 dishes and 2 chips. When got back to where we were staying found that one dish was missing after paying for it!! Food mediocre and expensive. Would not recommend and definitely not go there again

Take Away? Walk in and order a simple fried rice, 1 other person waiting in the shop. Told 1 to 1.5 hour wait....Walk out. A complete joke!

First time I’ve EVER reviewed a takeaway…so bad I felt I had to…special chow mein, chips & prawn crackers…£13-90…80 min wait..in the shop NOT delivery..not even busy…20 min walk back to our campsite…food dreadful…so returning not an option…not even cooked properly..75% went in the bin!
Have I called them…No…
Hopefully they will read this!

Like most of the reviews on here underwhelmed by place. Food very expensive and not that tasty .We ordered 4 items for £20 ,we ordered in advance ..went to collect and only 3 items in the bag .I challenged this on collection ,I was informed the cop suey and beansprouts had been amalgamated in to 1 container .Not what we ordered but couldn't be ordered to debate .we got home and the mushroom dish was missing .I shared this experience in the local pub and apparently it is a regular occurrence, plus I note other reviewers have had the same experience .Go to Talgarth ,better food ,cheaper prices and you get what you pay for ,never had an issue with this place .We will be returning to our default curry house from now on !

Stayed in Hay on Wye tonight and struggled to find anywhere open for food. This Chinese was the only takeaway available. First impressions were not great, but there was a queue for food, so risked it. Waited 30 mins and everybody had their food, ours eventually came 10 mins later after she asked me what I had ordered. It was sweet n sour chicken with fried rice and a portion of chips!! We got it out to eat and the chicken was strips in a heavy greasy batter in a bag, with a tub of the sauce (the type you add water to a powder and it becomes sauce) No vegetables or onions and it tasted terrible. We ate a little rice and some chips and threw the rest away. It was honestly the worst take away I have ever had. I would strongly suggest that you avoid this place and either head to one of the pubs for a meal or a sandwich from the Spar shop.
