Had an amazing experience with the kids who really enjoyed making their own chocolate lollipops. The staff were friendly and knew their stuff when talking about chocolate. Our demonstration was given by Amy who was really engaging and made the hour session really enjoyable for children and adults alike.

Then there's the chocolate, heavenly :)

Fully recommend you visit this small but fun chocolate factory. Yes it is located on an industrial estate but ignore that; the real magic is inside! You go in and pay for your tour of the factory-£6.95 each is fair I think. There was a group of ten other people waiting for the one of two daily tours of the factory (one at 11am and the other at 2pm-I think). We were served and toured around by the lovely Reece, very friendly man who made us feel welcome and relaxed. You go through to the observation room which has three large glass windows looking into the factory. On the left is dark chocolate, the right is milk chocolate and in the middle is white chocolate, it is all being churned around a metal wheel waiting to be dispensed into moulds. Reece gave us a comprehensive and easy to understand background of the the types of chocolate and the whole process of making it. You then turn around and sit to have a look at the conching process which is explained via a miniature version of a machine they would usually use. You can volunteer if you like to take part in pouring the chocolate from the chocolate maker into a mould then you are shown the conching process. The end of the tour consists of you each having a bag of each type of chocolate- dark, milk and white and then you test each one for its properties including texture, sound upon snapping and then the time it takes to melt in your mouth. For one person to do all of this is impressive and I take my hat off for him. At the end of the tour you really fancy digging in so I got an espresso and a selection of the large bars of chocolate (3 for £10)- I got the peanut butter, milk and plain and some gift chocolate to. I also got a chocolate shot for £2 which was well worth it I can assure you! There are toilets and parking is free. If you have kids it is perfect for them, all in all we were there for around one and a half hours with a drink afterwards.

Yes, it is based on an industrial estate so do not expect Willy Wonka’s, but practicality rides over aesthetics here. (There is however a small river of chocolate) Once inside it is well laid out and spacious. No need to say that the children will be in their element here, with a good course of learning how chocolate grows, how it is refined, and of course used. Well-structured and very informative, very polite and cheerful staff. Some beautiful seasonal and day-to-day chocolate displays and am pleased for them to have recently been set up to trade with Fortnum & Mason’s so that says a lot about taste, quality control and consistency of products. If it is good enough for them then…..

Disappointed.....poor value for money!
We paid £20 for 2 adults and 2 children and the demonstration only lasted 30mins!!! The only tasters were 3 small chocolate coins (milk, dark and white chocolate).
The chocolate making demonstration was interesting but we were all disappointed we didn't get to eat the chocolate we saw being made!! Not worth the money!!

My sister recently returned to the states after a trip to Wales with some Wickedly Welsh Chocolate in tow and WOW. Absolutely some of the best chocolate I have ever tasted. We sampled the coffee and biscuit bar and I was in absolute heaven. Our family is hooked and I know we will order more to be able to sample all of their great flavors. Thank you, Wickedly Welsh Chocolate Company!

Just had a chocolate hamper arrive that I ordered as a gift. Smelt so lovely and looked so good when I peeked inside that I wanted to keep it 😂. Will be wrapping this soon to reluctantly give as a present.

What a fantastic find! The Chocolate Experience is a brilliant way to spend the afternoon. The team were all so welcoming and friendly and we learned so much from the demonstrations. I actually feel brave enough to try making a ganache now! The whole site is wheelchair friendly too. We had the most delicious mocha to drink and got to try some amazing handmade chocolates. Our daughter made her own chocolate bar and we all got a really generous goody bag each - thank you so much! Loved the chocolate sheep display too!
