Beautiful church and surroundings.
The climb to the top of the tower is worth the climb but it takes 89 very narrow steps and 2 ladders to get to the top. Not for the faint hearted!

Great old church, was great to be able to go up the tower to see the amazing views from the top.

Beware the steps are steep and not for the faint hearted, you need a will to get up there, and you do have 80 something steps and 2 ladders to traverse. But when you get to the top its totally worth it. More than happy to give the suggested £2 donation to help keep this going. I first went 23 years ago and 23 years on its still as special.

Not ideal for young children to go up the tower, but they do have a church trail inside you can do to keep young ones occupied.

Also has a tea rooms open at the weekend.

Stunning location, well worth a visit.

Known as the cathedral of The Broads, St Helen's Church has one a fine medieval rood screen and an impressive interior. It is possible to climb the spiral staircase in the tower, but beware there are vertical ladders out onto the top, so it's only suitable for those fit enough and who are not scared of heights! Open each day with refreshments some times in a churchyard cafe with toilets. There's wheelchair access and some parking. Listed grade I of national historic importance, this is a spectacular church to visit - and climb if you feel up to it.

Beautiful little church, lovingly maintained, with a set of unique treasures. Colouring table put out for children, and the great adventure of climbing the tower for spectacular views. Very friendly volunteers enthusiastic about their building.

Nice old church that you can climb the steeple of. They only ask for a donation, so its up yo you what you pay. The steeple has a lot of steps (89 I think) and also a couple of ladders and trap doors, plus is very narrow, but the views are worth it.

Such a stunning church which is really well looked after. They ask for a small donation which is worth it to help keep the upkeep of this wonderful place. There is a steeple that you can climb with lots of steps. Its definitely not for the faint hearted however if you decide not to climb the steps the church is worth looking round and spending time there. The views from the top of the steeple are amazing.

You rarely get this vantage point above the Broads so the stairs and final ladder are definitely worth it. Have visited Norfolk lots and some churches along the way but was ignorant of the roof screens and church wall paintings. Great little visitor centre and cafe.
