Parish Church of Lydham next to the War Memorial. Beautifully kept churchyard with a pathway of clipped Yew bushes. Timber roof inside impressive. The building dates back to medieval times. Musical events frequently take place there as well as occasional services.

Church of the Holy Trinity in Lydham, near Bishop’s Castle, is a 13th century parish church with potentially Saxon heritage. Restorations took place in 1642 and 1885. Inside is an undivided nave and chancel. The roof beams are much repaired, but originally 15th century. Most of the timber furnishings are Jacobean. The stained glass, complete with creepy, winged cherub heads, are from the 1885 restoration. The octagonal font is medieval but its exact age is unknown. It bears a small projection in the stone that would have housed the hinge for the original medieval lid.
