Beautiful. The man who welcomed visitors and explained the church features is one the most kindest people I have ever met. The church is lovely and warm. It warms the heart of everybody who visits it.

Lovely church with a long living history in the Old Town of Southampton, situated in a quiet square within sight of Southampton Water. With the nearby town walls it is an interesting part of urban Hampshire.

I've been visiting this church and take part in service to celebrate Battle of Britain Sunday. Very welcoming atmosphere, friendly people, lovely kids area that kept my young one busy during the service. On the top of that is the oldest building in Southampton, so worth to pay a visit.

It is a home away from home. I felt welcomed. What I really appreciated is the little play area they have at the back of the church for the kids while they still get to listen to the service. The speakers have great sound travelling through the church for all to hear, loud and clear. I really enjoyed the service. Just like the Catholic back at home in SA if not better. They follow vivid protocols and are welcoming.

The oldest church in Southampton.
The central tower was built by the Normans and the rest has been added over time, most recently some beautiful stained glass windows were added after bomb damage during WW2.
This is a Church of England parish church that has a traditional style of worship that uses incense and bells and a wonderful choir.

Not only the oldest church in town but the oldest functioning building as well. This church somehow survived the German bombs in Blitz and remained intact while Luftwaffe were using Southampton as a shooting range target practice. It maynot be a looker but it did have its credentials validated in WW2 and its listed Grade 1.

They have a fantastic organ, and the organist is wonderful. Beautiful church that wouldn't be out of place in an idyllic village setting.

Still taking Covid very seriously which is good to see and they are very welcoming on Sundays.
