Warm and welcoming. Our own church had no evening service on Ash Wednesday so we searched on the internet for other near-by churches. One had 'February' as their list of special services even though it was March. Another had nothing under special services and if you downloaded their weekly notice sheet, you got one from December. St James' website was very up to date and had their Ash Wednesday service prominently displayed on the home page so top marks to them for that. The service was wonderful with a choir of 15 adults and 2 children. I'm only sorry that not more people were in the congregation. The homily was excellent and topical.

Such an incredibly friendly church for my family and I. We have small children and there is a later service on a Sunday morning which is super family friendly. We feel really at home, there are lots of exciting events to partake in and it is just wonderful to be more active in the local community.

Yes, I agree, it IS a lovely, peaceful place, but ~ I was very aware of an awful lot of dead flies around when I visited. Is this not rather a hygiene issue? (I would hesitate before taking children in, or staying for after-service refreshments, if this problem still exists...)
