Nice to find a country church that is open to visitors - so many are locked up

Beautiful church dating back to 1691. Set in a peaceful and tranquil village - Trying.

I liked the look of the building from the outside - I have nothing more intelligent to add.

This is a gem of a church set in the quintessential village of Aldbury, Hertfordshire. Lots of history & fabulous stonework, a must for any history buff. Fabulous iron gravemarkers & array of celtic crosses along with some beautiful & more modern headstones. Surrounded by mature yew trees this is a lovely place to sit & reflect. The village also has two good pubs & a village pond with a folklore tale attached, but not forgetting the stocks right next to it which are now classified as an ancient monument.
Family grave here.... stunning surrounding. Fabulous walking area
