The present church is built on the site of the former Saxon church and possibly a Celtic one before. It is likely the Nave was commenced in the first half of the C12th.
During WW11 is September 1943 the USAAF 386th Bomber Group "The Crusaders" arrived at the newly constructed airfield in the grounds of Easton Lodge.
The American Memorial Chapel was dedicated in 1990 thanks to the generosity of the 386th Bomb Group Association. Two stained glass windows were commissioned. A memorial was also erected in the churchyard.
The church is open to visitors.

A beautiful church in a pretty location. It was all locked up due to COVID when I visited, the windows look really special though so I'll have to return.
