Fascinating, little-known historic building in the centre of Kendal, tucked away down a yard off the Market Place. Beautiful chapel with interesting carved pews and a superb organ, and a large schoolroom attached. Has connections with various local celebrities and with the early Labour movement in Kendal. Open for visits, has a cafe, and celebrates its 300th anniversary in 2020.

We had a fascinating conversation with John about the history of the chapel. And he kindly showed us around. Very interesting. Thank you to all the people who contribute to the community there.

Attended a Christmas carol service here. Beautiful location, building, hidden away. A sense of peace in a tranquil setting 👍

It is a lovely place with a huge history, and the Unitarians welcomes everyone regardless of belief.

I do yoga here. It's a hidden gem off the main Market Square. Beautifully kept cottage garden and newly-refurbished remembrance garden. Interesting history in the gravestones dotted around the walls. Great for a moment of quiet reflection.
