St John the Baptist Church, Tunstall

Love this Church, it's such a friendly place and in a really lovely position , the bells are amazing , it's great to hear bells rung well .👍🔔🔔

Lovely little church,with stunning stain glass windows, I was lucky enough to gain entry while someone was doing the floral arrangements & let me finish taking some internal photo's, normally kept locked other than service times.

For such a small and quiet place, Tunstall is fortunate to possess an excellent peal of 8 Taylor bells cast in 1995. The tenor bell weighs 524 kg and the bells are in the key of G. The treble bell is called "Durham" and was the gift of "Raymond, Donna, Richard and Robert Hutchings". Donna and Ray met at Tunstall church, were married here a year later, and both Richard and Robert were Christened here.

A beautiful church with a wonderful , welcoming sense of community.

Went to a wedding there and it was lovely.

A quintessentially English country church, this place is steeped in history (of Kent, at least). Some pleasant walks around the area too. Just a few yards along the road is an old schoolhouse and an oasthouse.
