St Nicholas Church, Thanington

Possible setting for Thomas Gray Elegy Written in a Country Churchyard. Not open very often apart from services, but well worth a visit.

My brother Charlie was buried here 1971.
I was married here 1974.
It was a beautiful setting.

This church does not have a full time vicar which is a shame in Canterbury and shows how the church with all its money does not care about people
