Mystical and numinous, Jordans is surely one of the most loved and famous meeting houses and Quaker burial grounds in the world. The meeting has been rebuilt after a devastating fire a few years ago and boasts the solid wood material and ancient gallery typical of 17th century houses, built way back in 1688. The main active burial ground is in a concentric circles arrangement, in a beautifully tended clearing in the woods. Famously the house adjacent has timber from the Mayflower, and with William Penn and family resting here it's must-see for many American visitors. Quite hard to get to on public transport via Seer train station, and I imagine still a challenge to find by car as it seems so remote, but it's only a little further on from outer west London. Well worth the effort.

Beautiful historical site and place of worship. I was greeted with a warm welcome by a kind lady by the name of Nina. She gave a tour and introduction to the history of the site, along with an explanation of the beliefs of Quakers. I highly recommend visiting this place even if you are not a Quaker or very religious.
