Lively medium large church with lots of younger people and kids is worth a serious look. Good preaching, and takes the Bible seriously, and seeks to understanding its message for the modern world. Though if is part of the Church of England, it is informal in style, and largely uses modern worship songs. Has a whole load of different things to get involved in, if you are 8 months to 80 years. I turned up 18 years ago, and though I have plenty of experience of other churches, I'm still at this one (no, I'm not on the staff). Why not score 5/5? Ah, no church is perfect....

This church - to which I am indeed a member and have been of nearly a decade - is one of few churches that is truly trusted Christ-exalting, bible-centred and bible-teaching church in the South East. There is a diverse age range and all catered for in style of worship, music and teaching of the BIBLE. The church has been going for the past 125 years and they have remained true to the Word of God led by rare teachers of the Word. I will encourage you to try both services Sundays - 10.30am until 12pm or Evening 7 - 8.30pm - one of these times will surely meet yours and your family's needs. BTW we have other satellite arms of the church - Park Langley Church (Beckenham) and Redeemer (Croydon) - with nearly same attributes :)
Welcome to a great bible-teaching, Christ exalting and friendly church - Christ Church Bromley.

Really nice message, good worship and prayer, however not a single person said hello all standing in their groups after the meeting . I appreciate meeting new people can be a drag and intimidating. Sometimes people find the familiar easier, sometimes as humans we don't want to talk and put in that energy . However, I could have been someone who in need of advice, solace, prayer or I could have been new in the area. I went to have coffee surrounded by people and not one person said hi or attempted to talk to me as a new person apart from being served coffee . I went to the little info desk with leaflets etc and the person standing by it moved to avoid interaction. If I wasn't robust I think I would feel quite uncomfortable. Perhaps an off day which is a shame as it is a local church and would save me travelling further, seems like a nice potential community. I'm not sure I'd return though.Too many closed cliques.

Came across this church by chance many years ago and very glad I did. Instantly felt welcome in a relaxed way.
The bible teaching is soooooo good & the dedication and servitude of the staff and church team & helpers is truly inspiring. Put some time aside to check out their Christisnity Explored get-togethers. I have met so many lovely, sincere people here. Come and experience a warm & active church.

My family and I experienced unconscious bias comments while attending here a few years ago. In the end we left. A church should have no place for racism or discrimination.
