Church of St Mary the Blessed Virgin, Sompting

The Church of St Mary the Blessed Virgin is worth visiting for its unique architecture as it is the only church in England with a Saxon tower topped by a Rhenish helm.

Beautiful parish church on the outskirts of Sompting & still very much in use.

A pleasant enough church set in the rolling South Downs, on road parking outside, but can cause traffic delays when very busy. There is off-road parking a short distance away. There is a Pokemon stop and ingress point here too..

A quaint church. I did not know existed after spending all my life in Lancing.

Beautiful setting on the side of a hill in the South Downs. Very old church dating back to 10th century as a religious site. Peaceful atmosphere. Occasional concerts.

The Knights Templar little unique stile church, shame rhat was closed when I visited.

Visited the church for a wedding, so am not a regular, but the church made a beautiful backdrop. The bride and her family have all been christened, married and buried here.
