Church of St Mary, New Shoreham

Origins date back to the early 12th century.
Full of history. Very popular. Easy access.

Beautiful 900+ year old building with the remains of walls showing where a ruined section once stood. Stunningly ornate inside as out and surrounded by many varied lovely trees. I need to go back for further exploration!

Extraordinary parish church with chunks of Norman architecture embedded in later walls.

A Church is its people. Apart from being a beautiful building that is both calming and spiritual, St Mary's has the best congregation and welcoming approach found anywhere. I was married here, my entire family have been and will be baptised and confirmed here. A truly wonderful place that is very dear to me indeed. Take some time out and visit St Mary's.

Magnificent ancient church.

A green spot close to the river, in the town centre. The garden was very busy on my visit, due to its location. The graveyard is well preserved, the inside of the church radiate peace
