A lovely AA meeting is held in the church hall every Friday. All are made welcome warm drinks and biscuits. Top people ! Alcoholism strikes at all levels of society, if you're struggling, it's one of many venues that can actually help you without condemnation !

Beautiful old Church. Went for a Carol Service by local School Children. We'll organised.

Actually visited the side hall rather than the Church itself - I was attending the Porchlight drop in which had just moved there post lockdown. The drop in is great and an important part of homeless outreach for those of us who work with the community, particularly as a place to catch up with people who are notoriously difficult to access other ways. Food, social activities and ad hoc support available for those in need. Good work done wherever they can find a space.
Onto the hall itself - I'll be honest, took me back to when I got sent to cubs as a kid. Fold up tables, basic chairs, stage at one end & a building that reminds me of the old Nissen huts left around after WW2. Had to stop myself arranging a game of British Bulldog on the fly - don't think the NHS would appreciate the custom in these trying times
