Friar Bennetts Kitchen opens to feed, ( + clothe on Wednesdays 11 till 1 ONLY now ) and offer a hot sit down meal on a Tuesday and Thursday for the homeless between 11am and 1pm, people struggling financially and other unfortunates at 36 Kilipp Close, near Canning Town Railway Station in East London most weeks. 5 REAL Monks and their small army of volunteers, cooks, and other helpers make wonderful meals 😋 and run a small foodbank also to help their locals and nearby people struggling to make ends meet. Always a warm welcome, lashings of tea and coffee and a wood burning fireplace in the winter months too when its freezing cold outside. The occasional film 🎥 as well.

This was my first visit to the Friars, they work very hard in the community. (They have a website to learn more). There are prayers, talks and mass. 1 group of the congregation went out to distribute food made by the congregation to the homeless in Canning Town. Others helped bring down the xmas decorations. This was followed by lunch brought in and prepared by the congregation which was eaten by everyone. Then more prayers and teachings.
