The Parish Church of St Mary the Virgin

There was a church on this site in 1155 but the earliest remaining feature is the font from the C12th. It has suffered major storm damage in 1702 and in 1775 a major fire destroyed the roof and all the furnishings then in 1779 the spire was blown down. Fine old doors in the porch were built with the porch in 1523.
The church his normally open and well worth a visit.
