St Mary's Church

Visit this church to see nearly complete set of medieval wall paintings (Doom paintings) of national importance.

You can feel the presence of God in this beautiful and well maintained church building. I had the pleasure to attend a wedding ceremony there and I was really impressed with the building and surrounding areas.

If I have it correct, this is a church I done some renovation on with the heating system. While sat on my breaks in my van I realised that there was red kites (birds of prey) nesting and flying freely at the far end of the church in a neighbouring field. Will personally return to get some photos if the church will permit. Many thanks.

Lovely church with medieval wall paintings, the church has been modernised inside and has lost a little of it's rural charm. There are lots of events including local artist exhibitions and music evenings.

Lovely traditional church with soo much history.

Beautiful. Some wonderful wall paintings, and a lovely acoustic makes it an excellent venue for music. It was a joy to play there.
