St Martha's Church

This is perhaps my favorite place in the Guildford area. It's a good hike up from the town centre for sure, but is very peaceful & picturesque. The church is often open & if you are really lucky there will be a service on, or a concert. Plenty of history within, some very interesting artefacts and a place to just relax and take stock. On clear days the view is lovelly.

nice walk from the free car park up to whats is one of the best view points on the north downs way .

I was so lucky as to run into a verger (?) of the church who happened to know the whole history of the place. So enlightening. Thank you for taking care of me and time to entertain my visit.

Beautiful area, very picturesque, great for dog walking but as a result there are lots of dogs around, which should be noted by people with shy dogs or dogs that have been attacked before.

A nice place to stop and take in the view. But be warned that the closest car park is still about a ten minute walk uphill to the church and viewpoint.

Amazing views over to the South Downs, lovely wooded walks.

Magnificent sight seeing. Car park is available, just prepare yourself uphill 10-15 min. Lovely trip on sunny day.
