The Heralds Heralded
The Heralds Heralded
Dating from the 13th Century, this church sits next to the timber framed Manor House and the historic Almshouses. Mancetter was believed to be the site of the Battle were Boudica was defeated. This is a well attended peaceful church with services every Sunday. The bells in this tower are reputed to be the heaviest ring of five bells in the world. Seating areas in the church yard make for good pondering.

Beautiful church built on the grounds of a Roman Fort, just nearby is the place where Boudica died.
This church is incredibly historic, with chain books of martyrs, Roman finds easily found in the fields close by.
Our Roman Army specialist Mr Eddie Smallwood gives guided tours and talks on Roman history in the area.

Saint Peter's has become my second home. The architecture of the church is outstanding, inside the view of the stain glass windows blow you away. Really excited to learn more about the Romans in Mancetter through our church exhibition next year. St Peter's is not just a church it's a family.

Lovely old building and beautiful stain glass windows. Impressive car parking space for a small church but I was hoping for more from the table top sale.

Local village church offering weekday and Sunday services. Also local historians give talks about the area and the parish. One of the oldest churches in the area.
