Lovely old church in my home village, from wikipedia:

"The church, dedicated to St. Mary, stands in the middle of the village. It was first mentioned in Papal Tax records in 1291. The church is situated within an oval churchyard in which can be found a number of extremely old Yew trees. This points to the likelihood that Christian worship has been offered here for well over 1000 years. The bowl of the font dates from the 13th century and the beautiful barrel roof over the chancel is perhaps as old as the 14th century."

If you're a bit of a tree hugger, like me, there are some incredibly old yew trees in the church yard, line of which they've had to cut a chunk out of the surrounding wall to allow it to grow 😊.

The Docks pub, my local is al.so across the road. Great pub, tastefully restored. The bar has a CAMRA award for maintain it's old pub bar style a la 1950s. The lounge has been converted into a dining area that is now open tue to sun. New chef, great food.
