This is not a fancy upscale church. But that's not the point of worship is it? The excellent thing about this church is it houses the Kettering food bank. It helps needy people in this very neighbourhood. I personally know some of the outstanding individuals who give of their time, much time and energy, to help the hungry here. For this reason this church is outstanding.

Visited here yesterday thurs 11th April for the first time. I arrived on my mobility scooter has I can’t walk hardly and can only walk a few yards only with the aid of crutches. From the moment I walked through the door I was greeted by a lovely lady who was cheerful and smiled asking could she help me so I nervously gave her my referral form where she made me feel welcome offered me a seat and a lovely hot cup of tea by now all nervousness had gone she chatted to me and then I was called through to a office where I was asked questions etc but I was helped through to the office also after going through my outgoings which worked out to be more than I was receiving they helped me with my debts by telling me how to get help with them and who to contact and with that advice it felt like a huge weight had been lifted and last night was the first night I slept right through without worrying. After my assessment I was granted a food parcel and was so thankful and so grateful with everything that I was given they bagged it up for me and carried it out to my mobility scooter where I got on and they placed the bags securely on my scooter they also made sure I was ok and comfortable before I left and also waited outside to make sure I got of ok. Thankyou so much to these lovely caring volunteers at Alexandra st food bank because your caring nd kindness and help made me the happiest stress free person last night and I shall be forever grateful and thankful for that. You do a fantastic job x
