Fascinating history. Pope Celestine supposedly sent the then Bishop Patrick to convert Ireland. This spot on the coast near Cameas Bay is where he was shipwrecked. In gratitude to God for his survival he built a small church here in 440 AD. Llanbadrig is Welsh for Church of St Patrick. The present stone church was erected in more recent Centuries. Beautiful costal views.

Beautiful headland with stunning views. The church is very pretty and well worth a visit for a few moments of quiet contemplation. There is a small car park which was quiet when we visited but I guess it could get busy in high season. The church and Ynys Badrig (Middle Mouse Island) shown in the photos.

Lovely stretch of coastline with an attractive little church. Small carpark next to church was quiet when we visited in late afternoon, but easily filled at busier times. Beautiful area

53°25'19.4"N 4°26'41.8"W An incredible place. So peaceful. Like you have stepped back in time. The atmosphere of the place. You can feel the history here and what an amazing one it is. There is a walk if you fancy a hike around the mountain. It is the coastal path. Well worth a visit just to see it. There is a couple of little holiday places if you want to stay and really soak up the atmosphere.
