This noteworthy little medieval Church dates back in part at least to circa 1500 AD but there is a little question mark in that records show a Church has been present on the site since 1254 AD. What makes this Church noteworthy to me at least, is that is was damaged by lightning in 1867 and was restored with funds from benefactor Lord Stanley of Alderley who insisted on Islamic patterns in the windows of the Church to represent his own faith, to which he converted after taking a Muslim Wife. This church has a well maintained graveyard and grounds and it is worth noting that it is only some 3 minutes drive on the same country lane from Saint Perios Church. Some off road parking paying respect to the local farming community.
