I love this huge building. The history of the area is encapsulated in this place.
The Lewis family opened their home for prayer meetings at Ivy Cottage before this was built. As more and more people wished to attend the meetings, the Lewis's realised that they needed a bigger building to hold the congregation.
There are records and information relating to the chapel itself held at West Glamorgan Archive Service in Swansea and a little book with mini photos of the men involved in the running of it.
This is a sister church to Bethania in Graig Felen and Calfaria in Clydach. Bethania has the only burial ground that links in to the 3 chapels.
