Good place to get advice and assistance about many things (employment, debt, housing, benefits, crisis situations, bills, any other legal issues). If this organisation wasn’t free I would give it low stars but it is free! The waiting line is long and you have to wait outside for 1/2hours before they open to get seen early. There are a few staff that aren’t very helpful or they are rude especially the staff that you see on your walk in session - but most are helpful. Overall they are a good and free place to go to if you are in need of help for many different reasons

Poor service, not consistent in communication. One advisor said they are not qualified so someone else will give you a call back. No one calls, so had to call again, wait another couple of days to get a call back only to receive very little information in a very dry, unfriendly manner. Made to feel like my issue was exaggerated and there was nothing much that I could do. Would not recommend at all

The process could be more easier to access. They don’t really pick up their phone calls, constantly transferring you and I’m general being difficult. You really have to go back and forth which wastes a lot of time. When I did get access they were very accommodating and helpful. It’s a free service at the end of the day and people frequently miss out their meetings which makes it even trickier with their booking systems.

Went in only to be met by a very rude front of desk employee

The manner he asked all my personal details even though I was hesitating as they were very intrusive questions.

He rolled his eyes, tutted, showed his frustration and became agitated when I was trying to answer him.

Felt belittled and like I was a problem, He offered me a bengali speaking advisor, I'm standing there and speaking fluent English to him? I have never had a translator offered to me im born and bred from London.

I had to tell him his behaviour was unacceptable and that I just want an appointment so I can talk to someone in private.

We are a local community and 2 people standing behind me were people I know and thanks to him they also know my personal financial issues.

The poorest customer service I've received.

Terrible, really really bad. I've had problems with British Gas, who hasn't? CAB managed to make things worse. They found me an energy supplier where I could pay more for my energy, and couldn't see anything wrong with this. As others have said 5 yrs ago, they won't let you finish a sentence, interrupt you, but they don't really know what they are talking about. Tried complaining, but they don't follow their own complaints procedure. Avoid these clowns, don't waste your time.

The worst service provided by this CAB, you have to queue at the door before 8am just to get a ticket then you get a appointment after 2 or 3 weeks. When you finally go there they don't take you seriously and make a joke out of your case.

It is totally wasting your time to call them. 20 mins on the phone, and AI told you we can't answer your call as we are so busy. Try another half a hour. Still same case. And it states telephone assessment only, if people can't make through their call, how can you receive the assessment.
