Been inside this Town Hall and the woodwork is of old school and first class craftsmanship Well worth looking round. This is where Alfred Wainwright the famous walker held office has Treasurer. Did talk to someone who used to work in the Town Hall and she had no idea Alfred had a son.

Nice building with some great features. Generally only the toilet is open to the general public (unless you have a meeting or coffee morning or exercise class). The wooden wall around the door is due to the deteriorating sand stone from the walls and balcony.

Kendal Town Hall clock the centre of Kendal. With shops restaurants and public Houses and offices etc surrounding. This clock stands proud among them all.
