The exterior an asymmetric and elaborate Edwardian tour de force completed at the apogee of Empire, still radiates confidence and authority.
An aggregate of adjoining buildings including the Carnegie Library featuring a medley of Belle Époque flourishes and tropes, effectively a swagger of prowess and craftsmanship. Grade II Listed.

This woman called mumtaz has the worst customer care ever. She couldn't even copy the information we filled in the form for our son's birth certificate. Made us rush and pressured us on our appointment for our child's birth certificate to the point where we made a mistake. Didn't even bother to ask us to double check our details and was just concerned to get rid of us. Now we have to pay £90 for a correction on a mistake that she did without checking our passport details and also not checking the form we filled with our correct information.

Went in to book a citizenship ceremony as I didn’t receive an invitation letter from the home office I received an invitation email but I could not book a ceremony online because a reference number is required which is only issued on the invitation letter sent by post from home office which can take 3 months after approval to arrive.
Went in person to the town hall 3 days after receiving my invitation email from home office the staff security guard and the lady on the reception were very welcoming and understanding they spoke to one of their seniors and she personally came out of her office to speak to me and booked the ceremony for me right away for 5 days later.
Ceremony was on time and was done in 40 mins as this was a group ceremony.Mumtaz was the senior registrar and was doing the ID checks, affirmations and handing out the certificates.
THANK YOU to all the staff at the East Ham town hall.
Would highly recommend this place for any council related services they offer.
