The meadow has been changed over the years, and now forms part of Cheltenham's flood defence scheme. It's an open area surrounding a hollow which normally has a trickle of water flowing through the reeds and bullrushes. In times of heavy rain the hollow forms a lake, and there is a sluice gate to hold back the flow here to protect the vulnerable areas downstream. It's a haven for wildlife. There's a tarmac path for cyclists and walkers through the meadow, and also a circular path around the 'lake'. Great place for exercising your dog, and a useful green space within the urban environment.

Had a fall in Leckhampton after Enjoying for the 3rd time A Meal From the Fish and chips shop in Bath Road. That didn't deter me passing by here to see a site of the Park at Night Chatting to A Wonderul Lady About the beauty here in the Area. Well. One photo I hope will surfice as tonight it's the Ambience even though cold, - 3.It certainly doesn't detract from Gloucestershire in all its glory. Heritage, Architecture, And to much to Write about here. Wonderful place Gloucestershire is if you look carefully around you.

Lovely wide open green space that is principally a man made large flood plain. It has the main cycle path and walking path from Charlton Kings to Cheltenham.
But a good place to stretch the legs, walk the dog and let the kids run around!

This is a flood relief scheme that has good footpath and road connections to different parts of Cheltenham. It’s on a larger green corridor through the town, something which Cheltenham does to a degree but you feel could have better connections and more dedicated greener corridors. A great little cafe too but limited seating inside and out as it does get very busy at times but benches round the area as well and plenty of space to sit on a bank away from the main thoroughfare

Not the most inspiring park in Cheltenham, but great to walk dogs without loosing sight of them. There is a nice popular cafe next to the entrance.

Beautiful place; perfect for picnics and walks. It also has a great environment for dogs. Birds singing, the smell of plantation, rustling of the trees - all early morning walks always are very special. The cafe is lovely with a friendly staff and tasty snacks. I love this place!

A quirky space, good for dog walking or a gentle stroll.

I've only just discovered this space which acts as both public space and flood defence. The uneven layout makes for an interesting walk especially when seeing the water depth markers.

It's fun to follow the route of the River Chelt through here and into Sandford Park.

The entire area is well kept overall but with a few carefully placed 'wild' areas for flowers and grasses to grow naturally.

A well designed dual purpose facility, both a flood defence and leisure area. Great for dog walking if kept on a lead. The cafe is really handy and a good example of up-cycling...
