Ilford Police Station

No regard for public safety at all. I would give them 0 stars if i could.

I was scared for my life after being assaulted and I ran into the police station at night (about 1am) to seek help. There was no-one at the reception, but i could see through the reception to the back room and there was about 5 police officers in the back joking around and having a laugh. I tried banging on the window and they saw me but they just ignored me.
There was another woman there waiting who was half asleep, and I asked her how long she had been there - she said she'd been there all night waiting to be seen!

After an hour of waiting and watching the officers have banter in the back room i just decided to risk it and run home.

I cannot thank the officers enough for their kindness and understanding. It's a very tough job they do, policing the community, rarely receiving the praise they deserve. The help I have received has reinforced my respect for our British police. These men and women truly care. Overworked in a dangerous and tiring job. I thank you for keeping us safe.

Just had my new £450 locked bike stolen from Gants Hill round about. ( where there is a publicly installed bike stand). Obviously a professional thief with cutters. Bound to be a hot spot.

Walked into the station & not at all bothered about the crime. .."oh just file it online .. its quicker" Could see the smile on his face when I walked off- "one less monkey to deal with he thought"

Surely there is something that can be done? After all I bet mine is not the first bike to taken from this council installed bike stand.
I guarantee the thief will strike again and again.

Solve my crime

No one is picking the phone despite numerous attempts to report a stolen bin as council want a crime number, what a waste of time

Very unprofessional staff. 1 person in waiting before me. Waited all day. And 1 after me. Very disappointed. This is absolutely disgraceful! Expecially when they can see your under stress waiting on cam and an elderly older man dumped there and was clearly traumatised and dehydrated and hungry. No toilets. .

On the 31st of August I was driving along the a406 at Woodford where I saw a man fall from a bridge after spending 3 hours with the police and giving up my dash cam for evidence as of today Im still waiting for the SIM card to be returned as for the camera it self I had to make 3 trips from Ongar to Ilford before I finally got it back last week Dan at the property office informed me that the police are not a delivery service well guess what Im not a collection service, this whole episode as been a disaster trying to get my property back you would think that after assisting the police with this terrible incident that the very least they could do was to assist me in getting my property back, no officers or anyone connected with this case has even bothered to contact me,

The most disappointment I ever had in 7 years in this country. 5 Crime Reports with all evidences and nothing was done. I don't actually know what they are there for? S big damage to my mental health seek for help and not have. Worse is was victim of discriminatio by one officer one day and the next was punched in the face by another in a coward way in a very vulnerable situation.

Waited over an hour just to be seen too. No one at the front desks, they sat in the office looking at people waiting and carried on sitting in the office laughing and joking amongst each other. No wonder crime gets worse when even police don’t care. Waste of our taxes!
