I have previously visited Zara Bluewater for women's clothing but not childrenswear before, and I am not a regular Zara shopper.

This weekend, I visited the 1st Floor of Zara Bluewater for children's clothing for my niece. There was a varied selection of clothes and sandals that she liked, and her size was available in all items she selected, which was good.

However, there was a very long wait (approx. 25 minutes) to use the children's fitting rooms, as staff were using 1 of the 3 fitting cubicles as a stock cupboard. A customer had asked about using the third cubicle due to the long wait and was informed it was 'full of stock'. Presumably this large store has at least 1 stock room out the back, so there is no need to inconvenience customers in this way. If stock does need to be kept in the fitting area, it could be held in a cage so that it could be easily moved if the store is busy and demand to use the fitting rooms is increased.

No-one was allocated to the tills nearby. One staff member was observed rolling her eyes and appearing irritated when asked by a customer if she could pay at this till. Staff are therefore being expected to cover both the fitting room and the till simultaneously which is unsatisfactory on a busy weekend. (I say this as someone who previously worked in retail at Bluewater for over 10 years).

A celebrity couple came into the store with their children and used the tills, and as far as could be seen, they were able to shop without interruption or requests from customers or staff. Staff were overheard discussing the celebrity couple after they had left, however.

I liked the choice of clothes for my niece but didn't enjoy the shopping experience. Now I know her size, I would probably avoid the shop and buy online instead.

Value for money but quality is not luxurious. Always very busy with a wide age range of customers. You will Queue to pay but being busy I guess speaks for itself.

I used the self check out to pay for 2 dresses. On removing the tag to one of the dress of a silky material I had to ask help from one of the sales assistants( an asian lady). She was ever so rude telling me it is called self check out because customers have to do that themselves, otherwise I should have joined the queue for the till.I felt so humiliated and gobsmacked by such rudeness and poor customer service

came to this shop as I usually like Zara’s items. But we went to the self checkout counters to pay. As we couldn’t find the bag so I asked the lady staff about it and she was extremely rude when answering(I believe it has to be because I am Asian). We paid for the bag and she brought the bag from somewhere and left it at the side and just went away without saying a thing. I think the managers should consider these things too and teach their staffs not to biased on people based on their race (I did see her talking to other people in a professional way when we were in line to make the payment again for another item).Thank you.

The Bluewater store manager (woman with dark scrapped back hair and foreign accent) was extremely rude. The returns queue was wrapped around the whole store and a ridiculous waiting time. Herself and a colleague were standing around chatting and said as management they can’t use the tills. She was an absolute disgrace and an embarrassment to the company. She refused to help and barked at me then walked away. I think Zara need to employ better staff in their stores and train their managers to actually be polite to customers.

Very chaotic during sales, everything is everywhere, ques are big, hard to find the same item in a different size. The one positive is the self service tills and the ladies assisting there
