Matalan

The range of men's stuff is fairly good, however think it is a bit limited on the winter jumper yes they do have some nylon and cotton range but not much in the quality section, the tills were very busy but dealt with customers quickly. The colleague that dealt with me was nice but when I used an online voucher for my VIP card she became a bit rude rather than explaining the promotion.

Great store to find almost anything at a good price. Sometimes the sizes are a bit off but if your not worried about the size on the label you will usually find a good fit. Style is anything feel beach wear to good quality work and casual wear at good prices. Matalan sales are one of the best around!

Been out today to Matalan, first time in a shop that's not a super market. Was very impressed. There was a lady outside waiting to clean your trolley and then once inside the shop there were clear markings on the floor to show which was to go round the shop. I was then served by a friendly bloke. Got what I came in for plus lots more

So I purchased a suite jacket & trousers from a different Matalan store but the waistcoats they had in stock were all to small for me. I was advised to look around other stores to find a bigger size as the waistcoat wasn’t available online. I tried a couple of other branches and had the same problem. I got to the St Albans branch & was greeted by a young lady called Bliss. Between James, Denise & bliss they called several other branches & found me a waistcoat that fit me perfectly. I was able to collect the same day! Fantastic customer service & a great bunch of people. Thanks guys xx

Filthy dirty shop. Clothes strewn all over the place. The new self-service payment system is shoddy. Dark building, really offputting!!!

The men's suits section was a shambles, couldn't find the trousers to match the jackets. Looked like the staff had not been down there in quite a while to tidy the racks up and put it all into some sort of order. Sorry but it was poor.

I think this Matalan is great store. The staff are fantastic, very helpful particularly Jane.

The worse shopping experience, the shop was nearly empty and I can that other people struggle to make sense of the clothes on offer. The biggest size clothes on the men side is 40 although a large portion of the population is 40 + which means that we have no reason to revisit again.
My 3+ yrs old daughter needed to use the toilet. The respond I got from a very sleepy sales assistant directed us to the carpark. We left behind the shoes my girl agreed to take and walked out to use the carpark as a toilet. Being 3yrs old, she has to go right now.

Overall, I don't think that we'll visit again in the near future.
