Personally I dislike this shop, it just seems to have a mishmash of everything you never needed, clothing, household items and some really useless items! Only thing I thought worthy of buying was the wooden coat/clothes hangers, good quality and £3 for five which I thought was great but that's about it!!

Parking available, shop has changed since I last went there some years ago, clothing seems to be of better quality than it once was having purchased an own brand dressing gown. Prices are always reasonable, staff were really slow on the checkouts, there were around 15 and only 1 was working and the 3 other staff close by did not seem to grasp there was a queue of around 12 people all for one till.

Went in looking for formal wear and very disappointed to discover that many items were either filthy, missing buttons and torn to shreds. On the plus side all staff we came in contact with were most helpful. For a decent high street chain I would of expected that the merchandise would of been looked after better.

Clean spacious shop. Large car park. Refundable fee when products bought. Plenty selecrion of fashionable and practical clothes. Well worth a visit.

Good selection of clothes and other household items. More to choose from compared with Asda George. May not have enough smaller sizes in stores which can be frustrating for me.

Cheap overpriced rubbish. Don't bother. Bought two pairs of shorts from here for £18 each. Both ripped within a month. First pair after only wearing them once. Save your money asda or even primani are better quality.

The building looks terrible from the outside but inside there are some real gems! Lovely homeware and clothes. You can order online and collect on store for free. Park in asda and its not far from there

Matalan has become a little better quality over time but I still find it a little bit of a "dingy" shop to look around,I can never find any staff when I need to ask anything or advice etc,the queues are always long,and I still do not understand the reason of having to have a membership card to shop in here....is it meant to make you feel a little more "special" as you are member of Matalan????
