Matalan

A huge range of clothes but the prices do vary so not always reasonably priced. There is also a good range of homewares but the same applies re prices. The queues are normally very long whatever the time of day so this will never be a quick shop. They do have a loyalty card with decent discounts and offers.

Conveniently situated, next to all the food shops, like going to Matalan and just browse.
They are quite well priced especially at these difficult times, however the quality of the material has taken a hit as a result of it, this is not true for all their materials used in many other items/clothing they sell but a lot are.

I have been coming to this particular store for the last 3 years I guess . I like the kids stuff yhere and buy alot of clothing for My girls from matalan. Always had a good experience in regards to customer service until the last time I went to the store .
Almost 2 weeks back I went to the store for a look around for my baby girl cloths , as I went a bit early so there were not many people in the store . I looked around and than went to the Reduced aisle were cloths usually are mixed up hanging there. And it ofcourse takes time if you're looking for something searching through the pile .. my 1year old was sleeping in her buggy and I was busy looking into the pile for some nice stuff for my girls n myself. After sometimes a man came walking g around and stood opposite me ,I thought he's one of the store people so I said Excuse me and he instantly n rudely said " I am not from the store" so I said sorry and got back to what I was searching for .
After I was done and went to the self checkout,paid and was about to go out when I saw the same man standing by the door of the store . I stopped and asked him so ur from the store and he said "NO I am the security " I was like ur security of the store not the pavement outside. When I asked you why did you lie to me , cuz u were spying on me .
I felt so humiliated and got upset as well .
I know some of you might say that he was doing his job but then why did hw lied to me . This was the 1st time in my entire life that someone behaved like this . He was so disrespectful and rude . He is a security guard with a poor judgement and poor pathetic observation. Even after I confronted him, he was rude .
I would like to request the management of Matalan store beckton retail park to train their security to behave and get some experience people for this job not these kind of crack pots.
I don't feel like coming to the store anymore just because of this incident .

Very good customer service from the two young ladies working on click and collect. Very helpful.

Disorganised and messy. No welcoming atmosphere. Hardly any staff to be found on shop floors.

Nice place, hard to find any staff for help on shop floor unless you go all the way to the front of the store to counters, big store, I know cuts are being made, I couldn’t even see a handful of staff in such a big store, good luck if you need help with anything…

Very bad experience, made us wait outside even though I'm a key worker, showed my I.d, also showed proof of my wife being extremely vulnerable patient suffering chronic back pain. Yet they let in other people without asking for proof they Pick and choose who to let in despite having proof.

Very rude staff the security at the front and the Asian girl with who is safety manager.
She said nobody is allowed to come without waiting in the que.

I will avoid this place at all costs.

Such a variety of gorgeous clothes for babies, children and adults, as well as quality furnishings for the home. Durable material so the products last long and decent prices. Staff are normally helpful and professional. Never had a bad experience here
