11.07.2022 Its alright. Seems more spacious and less of a muddle these days. Summer sale is on and the rails were pretty tidy but this was Monday afternoon at 4pm. Have been on the weekend a few years ago and the store is a tip - partly why I don't shop in there.
Came looking for dinos. Was not disappointed (on the top floor).

Be warned: HoF do not tell you that they do not offer refunds - only 'exchange' or a credit note valid for 2 years. Bought £162-worth of jeans for my daughter at the end of the day (after work on Tuesday, only day/time we could go). My daughter was told the fitting rooms closed at 5.30 so she could not try any on in the store. Explained we did not want all the jeans, but needed some for a trip, and asked if it would be OK to return the ones that didn't fit. Was told we could return them within 28 days. No mention of their returns policy - or we would not have purchased them. Left the store just before 6.00 - they had already switched off the escalator and locked the door to the car park. Kept the 1 pair of jeans that fitted, took the rest back the following day and was horrified to discover that I would not be refunded £117.99. Appalled. Will give my daughter the credit note when she gets back from her trip. Never shopping there myself again. Will cut up the HoF credit card.

Be warned if you buy Levi's online from HOF these are what the bottoms look like. Oh and you also can't get a cash refund when returning items and you can't return items you bought online in store. Mike Ashley of Sports direct has ruined this brand with his unscrupulous business practices.

Avoid at all costs!!

I ordered some Boss trousers but they were not a good fit so went to the site to start a return, it asks for order number so no problem then asks for last 4 digits of phone number of email address. No phone number was given and not account was created as it was not necessary. I cannot get beyond this point, web chat is a robot emailing only gives a standard robotic email reply, there is no phone number I can find and I cannot return in store as it was a web order. If these companies want to survive they must make returns easy House of Fraser please learn from Amazon.

Staff lack basic store knowledge - I asked 6 different members of staff where backpacks were and showed them a picture from my phone the one I was looking for. Every one gave me a different answer (different floors, different sides of the store) Finally found them, but ended up walking up and down all 3 floors twice. It is clear the members of staff only know about their own sections, even the checkout staff and the people with walkie talkies. Also the store is far far far too hot, was planning on spending a couple of hours kitting out my entire bedroom and dining room but left after 10 minutes and spent over £800 elsewhere.

To be honest I only walked through the shop from the car park. They have a very large selection of products as it's a large department store. As I didn't purchase anything I can't comment on service or price/ value for money.

Unfortunately this particular shop in Norwich is now closing down. It is such a shame as I love shopping here.
I will say there is currently a 50% sale PLUS and extra 20% off for closing down, so worth having a look-see.

Don't usually shop in House of Fraser but, was attracted to 20% off list price on perfume (best price in bricks and mortar store)
Staff were helpful and pleasant
