Matalan

Disappointing shopping experience. The store is in real need of update and hasn't got the most inspiring selection of clothes.
I feel Matalan is just drifting along not really knowing who it wants cater for.
Unfortunately Primark has entered the same market place and are fairing a lot better

My wife ordered some clothes online and we collected from the Wellingborough store, usual long line for the tills, which because of the staff working well took no time at all. Good store with a full range of clothing and home ware, and friendly staff.

Normally staff is helpful but whenever I go after 7 pm, they all seem tired and not very helpful. Yesterday, I bought shirts & hairpins for my daughter and they did not put the hairpins into my bag!! Would not recommend to go there for shopping after 6 pm.

Disallowing a heavily pregnant woman to use the toilet because management clearly just couldn't be bothered to be helpful.

I ordered something. What a mess. They don’t take the money from you account until the order has been delivered. Some of the staff I bought was to small. Delivery company won’t take so had to drive from Rushden to return.
Matalan need to do something so this doesn’t happen to other people.
However the staff on store where very helpful, understanding and reassuring but I won’t be ordering online from here again I’m afraid.

Good offers and good quality clothing.

Usual Matalan, some good items in (men's clothing), but also a lot of useless stuff that's likely to end up in landfill very quickly.

You have to pay for parking, with the usual nasty warnings around the car park.

The exterior of the building look very down-at-heel.

i went in there to buy some socks and the security followed me and my mates around and kept harassing us. he attempted to kick us out and when i asked him why he shrugged his shoulders and said just doing my job. awful experience.
