Matalan

Lovely helpful staff. Great bargains. Bought a lot of gifts here at really affordable prices. I would definitely recommend this shop to all my friends. They have a wide selection of clothes and products. Make a point to stop off at Matalan when shopping on Queens street.

Clothing store in cardiff. Nice mix of prices across the range. Bought a couple of nice shirts for a wedding one smart casual and a dress suite. Nice to see a bigger than most selection on larger sizes xxl nice as well. Other shops could learn from this 👍

I think this place is ok. Good quality clothes for all ages and sizes. Place is quite big so can distance easily. From a pair of pj's to a suit and everything Inbetween.
Staff were polite and helpful. Disabled access and lift/escalator.

Quality does not match the prices. The shirt sizes are off and there's never enough choice in sizes either. The sweaters I've bought here have faded really quickly compared to other shops and the leather belts have left marks on my shirts and trousers. There is a good changing area though and the self-serve tills are hassle free.

Horrendous shop. Untidy. Really far too hot to comfortably shop. They must lose loads of money. I saw people enter them almost immediately leave because of the heat. Customers showing their dissatisfaction with their feet.

If compared with the Newport Road branch this branch (Queen Street) is a total shambles!

Just had a really poor experience with 'Holly' on the ground floor desk. Honestly can't believe how awful she was. Thankfully an embarrassed colleague took over, apologised on Holly's behalf and served me.

Me for what I have endured
This week I was in the collection point upstairs for the home area and a manager with a suit on told me to collect my items at 6pm and that some other woman would be there until then
This woman told me on
Collection that she was in the store until 7pm so I could of come back at this time
As this man was wearing a suit I am sure he knew that the store opened until 7pm
I have also had problems with my money going through on top cashback with this store with it being declined on other occasions and I have had a order delivered without the prestige items being delivered with no phone call or email saying that I won’t be getting them
On another occasion going into the queens street matalan I had bought a jumper that was really nice advertised online and when I went to the card payment check out it seemed ridiculous that you have to take the security tags off which should be done by a sales assistant
This rather abrupt lady rushed in and grabbed my item roughly never speaking with kindness and professionalism but instead quite bolchy and then took off the tag quite direct and rather roughly to
There is nothing wrong with the products in this shop it’s just certain people and if you sort that out this shop will be really nice to be in
My advice “beware at the tills you do not know what you are going to get or what you have to tollerate depending on the staff member”
Other times have been fine in this shop hence I’ve upped it to 2 star instead of 1 star
My opinion may change in the future it would be nice to give you a five stars but sorry my reviews are genuine honest and truthful and I can’t under present circumstances
