The Bar at The Athenaeum

Came here for the whisky bar once. Good selection and knowledgeable bar staff but unsurprisingly very expensive, and I got the impression the average clientèle was more composed of business travelers rather than whisky connoiseurs.

Bartenders knew their business. Unexpectedly knowledgeable and capable. Food was pricey but nailed the "upscale bar food" niche.

Excellent whiskey suggestions, nice snacks and cool atmosphere. Best to stop at around 5 shots!

One of my favourite bars in London.
Great staff, really know their cocktails and have a great repertoire.
Usually quite quiet but it is super stylish, comfortable and not stuffy at all.
Highly recommend for anyone in the area but wanting something slightly quieter.
