The Tipsy Toad

Very pleasant lunch spent here. One of the only places we could find in the town to eat so stopped here as it looked nicer than the other choices. Very pleased we did, it was delicious food and great service.

Very nice find after a long days walk in the peaks. Dog friendly too, which was great! Friendly owner and purveyor of delicious food. The 'feast' platters are generous and tasty, milkshakes freshly made too. Definitely worth a revisit

Absolute shambles! After waiting 10 minutes at the bar, one of the bartenders finally acknowledged my existence as my skin began to rot like those disgraceful, senile old men, who were shouting and swearing all night long!

The food came after a fairly long wait… Oh, I was not impressed whatsoever! The waiter simply slammed all the plates on our table, without even a politely ‘enjoy your meals’. Overcooked food as well.

Lots of tables filthy, seems like the staff only care about having a chat on shift! I simply will not be returning and wouldn’t recommend this to anybody looking for a nice meal and drinks!

Went there for a family meal too celebrate my sisters birthday. When I got served the food I found a dead fly in there which really put me off my meal, the staff were rude and because my sister is autistic she got treated differently too everyone else there. Too top the night as well, I saw a rat leave the kitchen thought I was seeing things but my cousin saw it too. EHO please check it out, won’t be coming again

Stopped in for a half on a Wednesday night and was pleasantly surprised. Nice little pub and good music.

The best! Great atmosphere, friendly welcome, smashing place. Fabulous food and cocktails too. Owner Ben is awesome!

Met here as a group for one of our nights out with a meal we always try to do this and usually here, great little place, good varied and eclectic tastes of different foods, almost tapas style but with a continental twist varied and interesting, quirky place and with so many types of people that come through you always end up talking to someone interesting. Our party of 12 had a lovely evening my partner and I loved it good laughs and a bloody good fun light atmosphere well, well worth a visit it's quite rightly always buisy and I make no wonder exellent real ale all local and varied and good selection of good drink staff are wonderful friendly good laugh and fun thankyou for a wonderful evening
