Slug & Lettuce - Harbourside Bristol

Went for afternoon brunch yesterday, we was sat down straight away and the table was ready our server was Sam was brilliant got us drinks straight away and when he come back with the drinks asked if we was ready to order food we ordered food and that come out in really good timing, the food tastes amazing to. Sam was always checking that we was okay for drinks when we ordered drinks they were brought over straight away. We went at 4pm and even as they got busy, Sam would still come and make sure we was okay.

Nice location with lots of tables (both inside and outside), average food and really bad service.
Went there on a Sunday lunch, we entered the place and no one came to ask if we wanted to have a drink, eat or explain how the place worked.
There were no more than 30 people around and we had to wait a long time to place our order.
They tell you to download an app and after you have spent time doing so, the app doesn’t recognise the table number.
So I had to go to the counter where there was 1 person taking orders and serving drinks at the same time. It took a good 10 minutes to serve 4 people.
After placing the order we waited not too long for the food but when they brought it, one of the plates was not the one we asked for (it came out while placing the order, the waiter selected the wrong dish). They were pretty quick in bringing the right dish but then we had no cutlery, we had to ask for that and we were given 1 napkin for 2 people.
The curry was nice, the wrap with fish finger pretty bland (nice fries though).
The mini brownies were good, although they were supposed to come with strawberries and they did not.
The churros were good but the Belgian chocolate dip tasted funny and we ended up eating churros without dip.

Olga was amazing! Sorted us all out for our bottomless brunch and was so accommodating of the mother of the bride who has multiple needs. Thanks Olga, love you xxx

Had an amazing afternoon tea and cocktails, food was lovely,cocktails amazing.The decor is so pretty and the staff are so friendly and really make the experience nice. Highly recommend

We received stellar treatment from Jon, the manager, when we went for an event here with about 10 work colleagues on a Friday evening.
As busy as it was, we did not spend too much time at the bar waiting for our drinks which were prepared well.
The food we requested for (chips and chicken) was tasty, hot, and full of flavor.

Our table was reserved as planned, the staff were kind and served us professionally, and the place was generally kept clean. The glassware and crockery we used were cleared out quickly, and the table was wiped right after.

Really great prosecco brunch, Ruthie went above and beyond to make our friend who doesn’t drink feel invoked with mocktail. We will definitely be back!

I love S&L, you know exactly what you’ll get - good choice of food and great deals on drinks. Really friendly staff in Bristol, special shout out for the lovely Cameron. And best of all the music levels are perfect!
