Octopvs Bar

I cant really complain to much about this place...while its small with limited space for the amount of people allowed in, its generally fun all round. I do wish they had better DJs who instead of playing songs that a just popular would play songs that you can actually dance too. Other than that I'd say its worth a pop to see if you'll like it.

This place is right for me in every way. I’ve been to a few pubs, bars, clubs before, but I always feel at home in Octopvs, if I only spend a few hours or all night here it always fills me up and it’s the right place to talk, get to know, drink and dance. Nice management, staff, drink prices are not in the skies.
If I have to say a single sentence about Octopvs: i caught the octopvs virus !!!

Went in, tried ordering a drink at the bar, told it was table service only. Sat at table for 10+ minutes with no-one serving, so left and went to a decent bar opposite!

I give that 5 star because I like this place all the staff was friendly nice drinks I can't wait to come here again nice place and a big massive thank you for everything 😘

Hi, the outside marquee heated area is welcome and it's fun to socialize there. But inside lies the problem: what was clearly a twee little pub has been converted to an attempt at a nightclub. The back room has a relatively high ceiling which is a relief and you have legitimate cocktail waiters mixing actual cocktails and video screens pumping out psychedelic imagery. But the main area for congregating and dancing is often rammed with patrons. There simply isn't enough space for so many people! Even though the omnipresent security are likely very vigilant to the potential hazards of these circumstances, a small space with too many people is a recipe for disaster if you ask me!

We went for our Christmas work do, we had a fabulous time, really great atmosphere! Bar staff were really friendly and really helpful when I enquired about holding our Christmas party there. We had a great time 😊

I have had a bad experience, i was for a party last night ,i had bad experience with one of the security guy,indian guy who didn't want to give his name,i was inside,my husband went outside with one of our managers because he was taking a taxi,when he come back he ruthly was stop to enter the premises even he show the stamp which they put when we first get inside.
He push my husband with his hands,my brother in law call me to come out because they not allowed to come inside enymore when i have asked security what happened they was shouting on me.I never drink in my life and i didn't drink as well that night, and i was trying to understand what was happening but they was very ruth to me as well,when i kindly ask the name of the security the name very ruth he answer "is not your business ".
I am very disappointed, security in this place need to know how to speak with drunk and normal people.
I need to know his name ,I will put a complaint further because he touched my husbandwith his hands,to police, because you don't disrespect people who spend over £500 a night in your pub,is not fair to be treated like this.
Hope the owner will see this message and will contact me.
