Been to this charming cafe a handful of times now, every time I have visited the service has been flawless! Served with a smile, the staff are very kind, friendly as well as considerate.
In particular I'm talking about the staff named Amy & Jamie, I've seen those two each time I've visited, haven't seen them slack, always on the ball and polite to boot!
If you live near Gunwharf or in Portsmouth at all, like yourself a damn good coffee or toastie? This is the place to be!

Undoubtedly the best cappuccino available in Gunwharf Quays. Strongish but very smooth, forget your usual Costa and Nero and give this little stand a try.

Always go here for lunch when I’m working. Great fresh food; great friendly staff with excellent customer service. Have made my favourite toastie fresh and dropped it to my shop on many occasions when they had sold out! Definitely the best toasties in Gunwharf!!

EDITED: I'd love to try the food here. But the only thing that's stopping me from doing so is the fact they won't accept cash. I can't own a debit card due to disabilities so I'm clearly not allowed to be a customer here.

In response to the owner's reply (22/8):

I'm sorry but I don't accept that answer. There is simply no excuse or reason to refuse cash at all. Are you saying that those with certain disabilities that make using a debit card difficult for them are not allowed to be customers? I'm pretty sure there could be an element of disability discrimination to that. The other thing to take into consideration is a possible scenario of the card machine breaking or the phone line failing. What happens then? You have no backup to fall back on at all. The business would be crippled in a matter of seconds.

Bear these scenarios in mind.

I had a flat white. Served in a takeaway cup.
No cup and biscuit, as suggested from one of the photos.
One of our cups had Bournemouth printed on it too (obviously we were at Gunwharf Quays!)
The coffee was £3 but it tasted like weak filter coffee with a splash of milk. It was vile.
Uncomfortable, rickety rattan seats outside.
I won't be visiting again that's for sure!

My flat white was made with same milk after the barista poured a latte so next to no foam on the flat white, the latte was good though. The coffee that's used is nice.
