Cobbs Cafe

Nice little place. Good panini, crisps. They have restroom and very fast free wifi too. Service was quick. Great place to grab a bite before Lochness ferry trip.

Little cafe in the heart of Scotland. Lovely staff and great food. Outdoor seating is right by the canal and that means you can watch the water rise and fall as boats pass through. Thank you Cobbs for the experience!

Absolute disgrace. Unbelievably terrible experience and extremely rude staff and owner. First of all this review in not about the food quality because I didn’t even get the chance to try their food. I was on a two day tour in the highlands with my family and we had a short stop at Fort Augustus to grab some lunch. There were clearly better options for food with better ratings but they had long queues and we were running out of time so unfortunately we had to settle for this place even though the ratings and reviews were concerning. My 4 year old who was starving from a long day on the road ran towards the ice cream display. To our surprise one of the staff walked up to us and told my wife to control her kids or leave!! We asked to speak to the manager to complain about this. We told the owner that there should be a nicer way to deliver the same message. He responded by saying this is a busy restaurant so apparently according to him busy restaurants should have rude staff by default. While talking to the owner, one of the staff wanted to get past me and instead of simply saying “Excuse me” she kept tapping on my back. When I told her to not touch me without permission the owner told us to get out of the restaurant. What you are about to read actually happened, the owner threatened to KILL me if I didn’t move away even though I was already out of his property.

Simply a nightmare. Fortunately, this is the only bad memory I will have of Scotland.

Cafe with a beautiful view of the canal. Staff was extremely friendly and engaging, make sure you’ve got a little trivia down (the capital of California is Sacramento, by the way, no cheating with your phone). Food was delicious; highly recommend the burger, quesadilla, and they do a good scone.

One of the best meals we have had in Scotland so far. The bread and the scones were exceptional and very fresh. Highly recommend it! Super friendly staff and fast service :)

Nice little cafe. The staff kindly made us a veggie breakfast which wasn't on the menu. Good selection of teas/coffees, soups, sandwiches, rolls and breakfast items.

Great place for a quick snack, treat or a drink in lovely location in Fort Augustus. Brilliant choice of cakes, sandwiches, paninis at reasonable prices. Despite the rush hours and long queue I was served pretty quickly and I didn't have to wait long for my panini (eating in). Very friendly, professional staff. The panini was served in nice looking way, very delicious.
