The bullying was terrible at this college back in 2015. I was studying Hairdressing and this girl made stuff up on purpose and bullied me the way i looked and everything and the college just moved her to the other Hairdressing class ( as there was only 2 classes) and that just made it 1000 times worse and she got another girl involved and they threated to beat me up outside college and so i left 2 hours early so i would avoid them also told the teachers and nothing was done so i walked out of my education because then it was affecting my mental health.

This wasn't the first time this happened either. Even another girl in my class also got bullied by the same girl that bullied me and another girl in my class also started on her. Which made her miss so many lesson and her attendance was bad because she was so scared to come in. ( because nothing happened to solve it.

Teachers only cared about getting good grades ( which yeah thats good ) but i think bullying and a students mental health is more important if its effecting there attendance and education and from lack of support from teachers.

I've also seen the other reviews on here and i feel like the bullying still hasnt changed which is very disappointing.

Although I'm thinking about returning to the college as I'm hopeful its improved since 2015 and actually studying something i enjoy and feel safer , Hairdressing is not the one for me.

This college is 20 minutes away from Canterbury east station and probably 25 minutes away from Canterbury west station. There are two colleges and a nursery school as well. There is basketball court, gym etc around the college. The college buildings are widely spread out.

I loved the Canterbury college art and design course, I made forever friends and met a lot of great people. The only issue was higher education, I thought it was my mental health but no. It completely stripped me of my creativity. I felt no support and felt I had no one to go to. The atmosphere was negative and the students where unwelcoming. For a small classroom no one stayed and I feel that’s something to point out. I don’t recommend it if you want to ruin your future goals for art and design.

They didn't keep to my EHCP. They didn't provide me with weekly Braille lessons which was stated on my EHCP for the whole duration of the time I was there ( 3 years. )

Everyone I know that went here spells it as "canterbury collage" and that sums it up tbh. Very disorganised staff.

Took a job here a few years back. I lasted 6 months before I had to resign from the workplace bullying.

I honestly don't understand the point of this college.

Courses I'm interested in are advertised but can't book online, only "Get in touch".
I tried to get in touch, no reply.
I walked in at the student information center 3 times, thinking it was a mistake, nobody can answer me. Only vague words "I take your details, they'll be in touch".

Admission team doesn't even greet you when you walk in there, treating you like a nuisance.

I emailed the 3 heads of departments of Art, including the person that will run the course, no answer.

The course I'm writing about is the "Stone Carving".

Honestly, this is a paid for course, if you can't even bother sorting out the bookings of courses, why are you even opened?

I can't even imagine what actual students are going through.

Young boys and ladies, go learn elsewhere.
