I recently completed the Game Art course and can honestly say I came out a much better, informed, and more capable artist. As an international student the school has been very accommodating and supportive when needed. My program coordinator Amil was always very helpful and went the extra mile to ensure students reached their highest level possible. However, you must put the work in as well. As long as you work hard and attend classes you will come out ready to work in the industry.

Just finished the 2 year Game Art Animation course, and although there were some issues regarding common modules and higher campus management, most aspects regarding my studied discipline were great. The Game Art Animation lecturers were extremely knowledgeable and helpful, doing everything in their power to make sure we got the most out of the 2 year course. In particular Amil (the course coordinator/lecturer) went well above and beyond to ensure we were fairly treated and given an excellent education.

Studied here years ago to study. While there was some sort of support. They do not care about the students and their welfare. You pay so much for unreliable services. I have to say my impression is the same according to many reviews i decided to give mine after long time. No support for mental health and no understanding whatsoever. Somebody will not feel well and they still will force you to do things for their own benefit. If you want a healthy life don’t come here. Too much for too less. Save your cash.

Did I get everything I wanted from the course? Absolutely. Regrets? None. There were many hiccups along the way regarding management of non-game art specific classes, however, everything regarding Game Art Animation was handled incredibly well. We were taught first the basics of art principles, branched into 3D modeling, learned animation techniques and specialized in either character or environment. Following this, we were given greater freedom in deciding our project focus and disciplines. Amil Metcalfe, the program co-ordinator, is the reason I signed up for this course and he is the reason I’ve completed it. He always had our backs and the whole degree course was only as good as it was because of him. Throughout the hiccups, he continued to provide the best teaching experience one man is able to. Our other lecturers were well accomplished and had plenty of knowledge which they passed to us. You’re in good hands on this course.

I just completed my 2-year degree in Visual Effects Animation and I have to say, the support and teaching I have received throughout was second to none. I would like to give a special mention to Amil, the programme coordinator of the Visual Effects and Game art degrees. Without him, I wouldn't have reached my potential of aiming for the highest grade possible.

Having read the reviews before taking my 2 year degree in Visual effects animation (which I Just finished), I have to admit I took a big gamble of which it definitely paid off. I can't speak for all the courses that SAE provide, but if you're considering visual effects, go for it! Amil metcalfe, who is the programme co-ordinator for game art and VFX, helped me home in on my niche in Visual effects and gave me constant guidance and support throughout the 2 years. He still keeps in touch, and is helping me to start off in my career.

Have not refunded me after 4 months I'm still chasing them.
Course administrator Gina Caprio contacted me via WhatsApp (highly unprofessional) and after I made payment for a course, did not send any receipt or introductory course information. She then stopped responding to my emails and messages, only picking up the phone when I rang from a witheld number.

These past two years have been amazing. I have been studying animation and game art at SAE and it was awesome. Our lecturer Amil was amazing with the way he taught us about animation, by actually going though our works and helping us where we needed. even though half of our time here was spent at home and we could not go on campus because of covid, he still gave 110% to each of us. Even when it was outside of lesson and it wasn't about the course work. he is a really down to earth guy who is passionate about the games industry. if anyone want to get into the animation/game business, i highly recommend coming to SAE London.
