Merrist Wood College

Studied here in 80's and was pleasantly surprised that it has not changed too much. I visited with my husband and son this Saturday and we were able to take a look around the grounds. The second image shows my old dormitory

Sadly my dog grooming course is coming to an end. I have loved every minute of it. I have learnt so much and made some great new friends. Thank you Gail & Vicky for being the best tutors x

I would like to recommend the new team at the dog grooming parlour at Merrist Wood College. Gail and her students always do a fantastic job on our dogs who come out looking and smelling fantastic. The quality of the groom and the experience you get feels like a well run grooming parlour, you wouldn't believe it's actually a grooming school!

Coming into my final week of the level 2 dog grooming course and I’ve learnt so much and made some great friends. Would like to recommend Gail and Victoria as they are great tutors and great at delivery the training in a busy salon.

Level 1 dog grooming... What a fantastic learning experience I have had. Gail has been brilliant, patient, and given me the confidence boost I needed. It helped with Gail being so approachable, you never felt ridiculous, you could ask her anything regarding grooming and she would give you the best advice she physically could.
Rachel the assistant again, absolutely fabulous so knowledgeable and friendly.
I can't thank them enough. I will definitely be returning for level 2 and cannot wait to continue the journey with them both.

Merrist Wood is Amazing. It teaches Animal husbandry but it has a special unit for special needs adults which we were very grateful for. Our son CM had a good 3yrs there. He just finnished on the 1st July this yr. Thankyou Merristwood for having him and for all the support he got. Bless you all. Hope all the students starting in September also have an amazing 3yrs. Did a wonderful 10 week course in Plant Identification and Knowledge and learnt so much! Paul and Ray are both so knowledgeable. I highly recommend this for that extra gardening knowledge boost!

I am currently studying a course here at merrist wood college and I have to say I love it like the staff are friendly the lessons are a joy to be in and the food is worth the money like it's tasty and made on site, i believe, everyone here is so friendly and I will definitely recommend this college to anyone.
