New City College, Attlee A Level Academy

The worst 2 years of my education was spent here. Very very unorganised, unprofessional and unsatisfactory quality of teaching. Teachers would go on strike very frequently, which posed as a hinderance to student’s learning. The teaching style displayed was very unorganised and incoherent with the image that being an ‘academy’ presents. This college isn’t worth a single star, but something must be given in order to warn other students. Please do not come here, unless you want to make a mockery of your education. Teachers do not push you to achieve your full potential, they are satisfied with mere B and C grades. Teachers were incredibly incompetent, and some displayed a huge lack of knowledge. Staff do not take you seriously when you have a concern. Overall, it is the worst teaching establishment I have ever stepped foot it. Will not be recommending this place to anyone.

truly terrible. I went here for two years and even before lock down they were terrible more teachers got fired than re-hired so there was a constant lack of teachers. To be clear there are a few excellent teachers here, but they're overwhelmed by the workload. There's almost no 1 to 1 feed back even when the class size is small you feel completely overlooked, and the administration will lie to you repeatedly. The facilities are nice they're just managed terribly if you're good at self study you'll be okay but literally any issue and you'll be completely abandoned.

It was okay. I have been there a couple of times where we had to do woodwork for our sessions.

Completely incompetent staff. I attempted to get my son's attendance record and they would not give it to me. I am divorced from his mother and have no contact with her and my son was not attending school and nothing was being done about it and I needed that proof, which is dictated in the 1989 Children Act I have the right to have, and the own government Child Maintenance Group Agency was asking me for it, and they did not know the law and would not give it to me. My complaint even went to their Leads and eventually the Head of the school who also did not know my right as a father and the law and refused me. I eventually had to get legal advice and threaten court action before I was able to get my son's attendance record.

If this school is so disorganised and ignorant of the law, and does nothing about truant students, what else are they really bad at ...?

Great a level / gcse college especially when choosing stem subjects

The teachers are very discouraging and have high expectations that you might struggle to reach but it's even worse when your open about the struggle and you try to get help, they demonize you for not being able to understand things fast though some teachers were good but I can't say I was happy about the rest.
They're also very unrealistic sometimes with their goals for them, you get a lot of exams on early few weeks and it's a topic we haven't even covered or didn't get to they don't seem very organized or consistent as they think they are.

I used to study in this college as an international student and that was an awful experience and I wasted my money. Teachers are not explaining clearly when you ask questions as an international student cause they don't know how to meet our needs. And the staff are not responsible for you at all which is so annoying for someone new to this country.
